ORIGINAL R.A.F. (IRVIN) FLYING JACKET (Early two panel type) 1940-41
£ (SOLD)

AN ORIGINAL R.A.F. (IRVIN) FLYING JACKET (Rare and sought after early twoback panel, darker brown wool type) c,1940-41. The jacket is a real "dusty" sleeper that we bought some years ago at a boot sale ! ...No damage and all zips are working (all are DOT Made in England originals with leather pulls) and a little stiff, This is a scarce LARGE size example which measures roughly 22"- 23" across the back arm pit to arm pit . Should fit a 40" chest. The jacket is 27" from top of collar to hem. Basically a nice clean original jacket which would benefit from some leather feeding.

ORIGINAL R.A.F. (IRVIN) FLYING JACKET (A.M. Label 1945)
£ (SOLD)

ORIGINAL R.A.F. (IRVIN) FLYING JACKET (A.M. Label 1945) Another very clean and soft jacket with one or two early rubberised and patched repairs to the upper rear shoulder and some old and newer leather patch repairs to the cuff area of the left and right lower sleeves. This is a whopper with an approximate 42" chest potential. The interior fleece is excellent and very snug and warm. The small repairs on this jacket don't do a lot to it and could be improved with little work by a leather expert. A lovely item and very wearable indeed.
