Temp Lt 14 November 1914. William Henry Bewen was born on March 8th 1873 in South Shields. He later lived in Shirley, Southampton. 
He was suspended from R.N.V.R. duty on 30/Jan/ 1915 for "Disobeying orders & being under the influence of liquor.
Lt Bewen had been the skipper of Armed Trawler "Urana" and was to act as leader of armed patrol trawler division.  

Group comes with various photocopy service papers and a copy of Bewen's ID picture.
