An historically important and sad double casualty grouping of the Barker brothers of BEESTON, Nottingham.
The two brothers almost certainly joined the regiment on the same day as the service numbers are very close indeed.
They were killed just over three months apart during the Battle of Arras.
Both men, aged 21 and 22 respectively came from:
22, MONA STREET, BEESTON, NOTTINGHAM.
The house still survives
TWO BROTHERS.Killed Arras (1/7th Notts & Derby)´ROBIN HOODS´ TRIOS, PLAQUES & SCROLLS

The two brothers were the sons of, John Thomas Barker and Anne Barker of Beeston, Nottingham.
BOTH MEN LANDED IN FRANCE
on
25th FEBRURY 1915

A VERY IMPORTANT & HISTORICAL PAIRING TO ONE OF WORLD WAR I's MOST BLOODY BATTLES, A SUPERB RESEARCH PROJECT FOR THE NOTTS & DERBY ENTHUSIAST OR COLLECTOR.

All the medals are practically "mint state" with original ribbons.
Plaques are 99% with only a few tiny spots.
Scrolls have been pasted onto card at an early date, but apart from some foxing are 100% intact.
