[BACKGROUND]
Over the last 15 years, since we launched the web site, we’ve had numerous requests for one of these legendary & incredibly rare medals as it’s invariably the one single item that’s missing from almost all collections, as it just never shows up.

I started the business in 1977 and in that time I’ve only ever seen three genuine examples of this medal....this the third of those & it’s the only example I’ve actually owned.

The other two examples were owned by the indomitable George Rankin who actually bought them in Thailand. To the best of our knowledge & research non of the main auction houses have ever offered a genuine example.....only copies from time to time.

We were recently extremely fortunate to purchase a long ago completed private collection of all the 17 various Allied Victory Medals, all of which we are currently adding to the previously listed items here on the web site.

This currently available THAILAND example is a “STRICTLY ONE ONLY” item, so it’ll be offered on a purely “first come, first served” basis....so there will be ZERO thinking time!

The medal grades as VF / GVF and displays a lovely original and genuinely deep brown glossy patination with some light and very naturally confirming surface wear and slight surface contacts. This clearly indicating that at some time long past this medal has actually been proudly worn by the recipient.

The top ring suspender mounting is of the correct and fabled “double opposed funnel-cylinder” design of the correct size, shape and proportions which is absolutely a feature only seen on the genuine medals.
