This VERY famous badge is exactly the type which was worn by the Heroes of Rorke's Drift in the Zulu War. Later called "The South Wales Borderers" most of the men in this famous 1879 action were from Wales but prior to 1881 the regiment was called 2/24th Foot.The Warwickshire Regiment.
Superb original condition with a nice old tone.
