A very emotive and sad 1914-15 Star Trio, Plaque & Scroll. 5th Yorkshire Regt. (A Young Skinningrove Lad) To: 3101. Pte ROWLAND DUCK. Yorks Regt. Roland entered France with the 5th Bn on 18th April 1915. He was Killed in Action on 25th May 1915 (Just 37 days later) He was only just 18 having enlisted at 17 which was the very minimum age for overseas British Army service.

Officer's War Medal & Victory Medal Pair (1/8th Hampshire 1/8thRegt) (Isle of Wight Rifles), Princess Beatrice's Battalion To: Reginal Duncan King (2.LIEUT. R. KING.) on both medals. There are several "Lt R. KINGs" on the CWG site but as this pair was purchased locally within 5 miles of our office and the late recipient's home, so it's a fair bet these are the medals of the stated officer in the 1/8th Hampshire Regt. KILLED IN ACTION on 19th April 1917 and commemorated on the Jerusalem Memorial Panels 28/29.
