John Henry Hobbs was born in 1892 (Chepstow, Monmouthshire?) and joined 4th COLLINGWOOD BN R.N.D. on 29th August having initially been in the RNVR (14 Star unusually named to both units).
As were many of his fellows, he was interned in Holland after the fall of Antwerp. He is seen having "leave" from Holland in 1916 and 1917 and being admitted to Haslar RN hospital on 21st may 1918 with Tuberculosis with which he was rated 100% disabled.
He died on 14th April 1920. Age 28.

He is buried in Chepstow Cemetery, Monmouthshire, Wales
